Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Corpus Christi

Poor

: We were told breakfast was served until 10 am on weekends, but no food items were restocked after 9:30 including plates and utensils. The ice machine made great ice
: Facility was in the process of a remodel. Pool was available at surrounding properties but inconvenient. Raining weekend and gutters above window dropped all night long. We obviously were not in a remodeled room. Broken tile in bathroom, slow draining tub and mold build up.

: Being renovated. It should be closed until finished. Our door key didn’t work and staff had to let us in whenever we came back to our room. Place pretty beat up. Staff were nice though and did what they could to help. I have stayed at Fairfield Inn many times through the yrs and trusted this company. We were not warned and had this all dropped on us. Will be hard to trust them again.

: Breakfast was good. Only thing nice about this hotel.
: There was a note posted that the facilities were under renovations. Nothing stated on website. When I asked staff they said we just started. Did not see anything under renovation. Rooms had no tv service, pool was closed and no guest laundry service. The hotel looked run down and had a foul odor. Will not be staying there again!

: Location was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious as well.
: Once we entered we saw postings apologizing for any inconveniences due to remolding which we were not aware of when booking. So that was a surprise. The room seemed fine until I found empty water bottles by the night stand. Then the restroom had a dirty used towel left behind. The toilet bowl stunk like urine which didn’t go away. The tub was filthy. You can tell that housekeeping just did the bare minimum.

: Enjoyed the stay. I only wish that property had Ada rooms.
: No Ada rooms were available

  : Nice property, clean.
: When checking in on July 5th, the guy put a hold on my card for $370 for two nights and ran my card a 2nd time and says it declined. I showed him where the money shows processing in my bank account by Fairfield Inn and says waiting for final amount from merchant. This is the process with any hotel. However, Fairfield Inn did not give us our reserved room that night. I had to call the police and still nothing was done. He called his manager and she wouldn’t even come up to the hotel to handle the situation. The guy knows he did something wring on his end and would not own iPhone to it. I called my bank and they said Fairfield Inn on Blanche Moore Dr in Corpus Christi has a hold on $370 and will finalize the amount after you check out. Normal process, Right? Well we still never got a room. Mind you we were 6.5 hrs from home and did not have money to pay another $370 which is what the worker told us to do. So now I have to dispute the amount with my bank to get it released. I tried to handle the matter with the hotel in a civil matter until they told me to give them another card to run and then and only then will he give us a room. Then I got upset. I will be writing this review on every platform and calling Marriott Corporate Office.

  : Breakfast was decent.
: Facilities were sub par. TV did not work

Disappointing
Traveller Type: family with young children
: The only good thing was location of the property.
: The quality of service was very disappointing. My room was changed at the last minute, and the one I received had a wet carpet and an unpleasant odor. There was no hair dryer, no trash bags, and no common trash can on the floor. The reception was rarely staffed, as the employees stayed in the backroom most of the time.

: My husband & kids liked the breakfast.
: Pool was closed. We were able to go the pool at the other hotel across the parking lot. At check in they charged me $80 more than the fee was when I booked. The 2nd day our key cards didn't work. Corrosion on the shower head (green & white). The bottom of the tub was chipping. Stains on walls & sheets. Smelled of mildew. Small hole in the ceiling in the hallway. Chunks missing from the walls in the elevator. The shampoo & conditioner was half empty. We didn't have wifi, so no streaming. Candy squished into the floor. Fridge worked 50% of the time. Roadwork on the street to get in on both ends. We had to cut through the stores parking lot everytime. Hated being there. Always dreaded going back after every excursion. We left the night before check out & drove the 6 1/2hrs home. Didn't want to stay another night. I took pics to prove all of it. I wanted to leave but didn't have anymore money to spend on another hotel. I budgeted for what I was supposed to be charged & then my bank sent an email telling me more that I alloted was taken out. Was supposed to be $358. They took out $440. I asked about it & they said it was for extra taxes & people usually yell about it. (It's not letting me post all of my photos)

: Maintenance man was very kind and helpful.
: Property was dirty. Chairs were ripped and dirty. Front desk staff was not welcoming and some were rude. The hotel was so loud on our floor and a dog barked for hours. Unable to sleep due to the noise. Will never stay at this hotel again!
