  : Good location, private lake access and close enough to Florence with nice kitchen and bath
  : House requires some maintenance and beds are r uncomfortable, However, main issue is ( especially at these times) that the house is not really clean, other then some cleaning to bath and kitchen, seems house wasn't cleaned for a while. We had to vacuum and wipe down surfaces ( and sticky remotes) in order to fell safe enough to stay.

  : Liked the location. Liked the bed upstairs and the view from the bed upstairs.
  : We spent almost $1,000 for the weekend, and there was trash strewn about the driveway as I arrived. There are cracks, holes, and shards of wood that stick up from the floor when you walk on the boards. There is a sign in the residence that asks guests to remove their shoes, but I did not feel safe having my son barefoot because of the wood shards. The carpet upstairs is stained throughout. The deck is dangerous. There are loose/bowing boards, dry-rotted with splinters. The bbq had one working burner. All dishes were washed by hand and put away, as the dishwasher's bottom tray slides all the way out onto the floor, and the top tray slides out and causes the dishwasher to tip over. I did not feel safe running the dishwasher. The siding is moldy and dry-rotted. The sliding screen door was laying in the dirt when I arrived. When I attempted to turn on the fan upstairs, I decided against it, as it was covered with black dirt, and would not be safe to turn on. The lookout deck/stairs are unsafe, and there is a chasm between stairs/bridge with an unsafe hand rail that is not to code. In fact, the lookout deck is unstable and slants toward the water. This residence was 3X as expensive as the rustic cabins 2 doors down, which were clean, in working order and loaded with amenities. This is the third place we have rented at Mercer Lake and have never spent as much as we did for our weekend. The advertisement for the chateau was misleading. I opened the kitchen window to allow a breeze after cooking, when the wind blew about 1,000 dead insects all over the food I had just cooked for my family. In addition to insects permeating every available space in the chateau. This was totally unacceptable for the amount of money. Especially considering the superior accommodations from the other rentals on Mercer Lake. This felt like a nasty Motel 6 by comparison. Look at the pictures!
