  : This was a very historic building
  : The room was literally over 90 degrees when we checked in. It was a very hot day (100+) and the window ac unit had not been turned on prior to our arrival. The hotel was very musty and the locks on the door did not work. It didn’t feel safe.

  : For historic buildings, this was a neat place to stay.
  : Upkeep on the property in general is lacking. Paint, wallpaper peeling, linoleum pulling up on the edges, bathroom door didn't close properly. No in room amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee pot) which may be difficult to provide considering the size of the rooms and old building wiring, etc. Wish the restaurant had been open for breakfast.

  : No coffee. No ice machine. Track of sliding bath tub doors was pretty dirty, and windows were very dirty.

  : The glory days of the hotel are long gone. The entire town needs revitalizing including the hotel. I slept with one eye open. I thought I was at the bates motel. The knob on the a/c unit was removed. There was a distinct musty aroma prevalent in many older homes. The halls were not air conditioned, no elevator.

  : The location was perfect. It's on the river and walking distance from restaurants. The hotel is very old and has beautiful antique furniture. With an infusion of cash, the Braun could be an absolute gem of a boutique style hotel. Other positives: The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean, (though there was a slightly musty smell overall). We also had an undisturbed sleep because it was very quiet.
  : The owner/manager seemed overwhelmed, overworked and a tad stressed. When we arrived, there was nobody around, and after ringing the beautiful old antique bell, three or more times, I had to go into the kitchen area to find someone to check us in. I felt badly for her as she obviously needed help. The hotel rooms are quite small with not much space for luggage and the bathroom was tiny. We didn't use the shower as when we opened the glass sliding door, we were met with an unpleasant smell. We didn't eat at the restaurant because my hubby wanted a cocktail and the bar just served beer and wine. Breakfast was not an option.

  : This was located right on the river in the historic downtown. It was super close to be in line early to get a walk-up cave tour tickets at Wind Cave NP. The staff here were so nice and helpful!

  : That there was no history pamphlet to tell the hole story on the place no coffee or breakfast, the name is miss leading it only a old hotel,not a resort, there's nothing resort about it,

  : Location was close to local restaurants and shops. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was supplied with adequate towels and soap products. The decor was traditional and classy. The bed was relatively comfortable
  : The air conditioner was very noisy but with the heat of the rooms it was necessary to run it all night. The 'suite' was 2 separate rooms joined by 1 bathroom. The entire 2 bedrooms and bathroom felt like 120sqft. There was 1 trash can for the entire 3 rooms. No hooks, no place to put anything, internet was out so no tv either. The chair lift made it difficult to carry out bags up the stairs. The photos look like they were from 10 years ago. Kept finding small pieces of plastic on the floors - so it looks like it wasn't vacuumed. Upstairs windows were boarded up - looked sketchy
