  : Its a very interesting place with lots of potential. The main house was built in the early 1900s, with many out buildings of varying vintages. We read that the estate once had 65 servants to run this huge estate. Assuming new owners will update as they can afford to. Worth investment. Bottom line - Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot with good water pressure. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was simple but freshly prepared. One of the few more affordable options in the area, so good enough for us. We were mostly out and about.
  : We would have loved to stay in the mansion, but those rooms were too expensive. I mostly wanted to get out my pruning tools to freshen the amazing plantings on the property that are in need of some love. River end of house could be a beautiful party venue if renovated. We'll check back to see progress.

  : property was run down, largely abandoned, smelled of mold, no service though website stated 3 nights or more you got complimentary room service and housekeeping placed looked like the before shots of some HGTV extreme renovation showoh, and lastly, it’s for sale because they can’t make it work

  : I found the profile on Booking.com very misleading for this property. The room had no Mountain view, cable channels (as listed on Booking) or TV for that matter, it also had no in room coffee / tea facilities.I would not mind staying in the type of room I was allocated (had I been aware of what type of room I was booking) but if the Booking.com website never showed any room representative of what I was booking.Had the room been rated 2 star and priced accordingly I believe it would be reasonable.

  : Breakfast was quite good -- a mix of hot and cold offerings. Towels were very soft. AC in guest room worked well. The proximity to Tanglewood is the best thing going for this venue. Also, the grounds near the mansion were fairly walkable.
  : Check in process was a bit disconcerting as one of the staff was dealing with an older couple who were NOT happy with their guest room. The person checking us in couldn't tell us what kind of food was served at breakfast but at least showed us where the meal would be served. Signage on property was lacking as well as handicap parking near the outlying guest rooms. The only eco thing about this property were the combo solar/wind turbine pole lighting but not sure how much it reduced the overall carbon footprint. No pool or spa services here.

  : Only looked at the breakfast and then went elsewhere, the location was fine, pleasant, but the breakfast options were limited
  : The room was billed as being part of a mansion complex and at the price point I expected some bit of luxury. This was a run-down low level motel. Yes, it was part of a mansion complex but the main house was in substantial disrepair. The entrance steps were of marble and had become dislodged from their foundation. The service rooms and kitchen were in disarray and the mess was plainly visible from the parking areas looking into the house. The room we had in the outbuilding was dirty, cobwebs in many places - sink, under the heater next to the toilet (where my bare foot found dead bugs). The was a small fridge and that was a plus as we were attending a local concert that allowed picnicking. The bed was adequate but mattresses has seen better days as had nearly all the exterior painting which was peeling in most places. Signage around the property was poor and the it was unclear until we had been in and out of the property for a few days that the preferred entrance to the reception area was in the rear of the building as one approached using the driveway. The photos on booking looked more like the upscale mansion but we ended up in a dank and dingy roadside motel at mansion prices. I would not stay there again.
