Built in 1909 this historic 5-star Newport mansion features fine dining a luxury spa and a garden terrace with an outdoor pool and city views. The Newport Mansions are within 2 miles away. : Breakfast on the patio was very good. Very Good food overall.The hotel's layout and decoration along with the excellent staff generated a good ambience.
: The bathroom was too small with no shelving or storage space. Also bedside lighting was too dim - difficult to read at night.We booked dinner in the hotel on one evening but because of an external function were pl;aced in the conservatory, which was soulless with only one other couple. If we had been told we would not be in the main dining room, we would not have eaten in the hotel but gone out.

: Breakfast was ordered for room service but did not arrive (6/16).
: The exorbitant high price, more than double of any other hotel in the area, is not justified, neither by the great historic architecture, nor by the very good location, nor by the excellent friendly staff. Air condition in living room did not work. Breakfast on Sunday morning did not arrive. Pool was closed on Sunday morning.
