  : Location, staff, few blocks from downtown, Bart metro Civic Center is right across the street. I have come here regularly up to 4 times a year for 12 years, good value for money. It is walking distance to Ferry Building, Financial District, Chinatown/North Beach, Japantown and many other attractions, countless restaurants, Caltrain station (in case you wanna go South towards Palo Alto, Mountain View, etc.).
  : You need to be prepared to the recent (post-pandemic) massive homeless and drug addicts presence around the Civic Center area, including this hotel during the night. They are generally harmless but it is sad/disturbing to witness such desperation. You need to know it in advance and be prepared to handle it.
