Disappointing

  : The location is perfect, which is why we chose this place. Very close to hiking and tourist activities, found a great playground in Banner Elk, and would be convenient to ski on sugar mountain in winter. We did have a couple issues and called vacasa and they were very helpful and got back to us right away.
  : The heat was very hard to manage, the first night we couldn't get the temperature above 58 and then after calling Vacasa, we got it working. We then woke up in the middle of the night and it was 85 in the house! Otherwise the house is quite old, it was clean but definitely nothing fancy, and the kitchen supplies are the bare minimum. Not a smart tv, just good old fashioned cable but the tv's worked fine.

  : The shower curtain had some mold and the fixtures as well. The sofas need cleaning. The blankets provided smelled used and stale. Overall stale smell in the apartment. Also, no welcome coffee or sugar provided.

Very Good

  : The beautiful view, the cozy rooms (especially the fireplace!) , and the location
  : The carpets that were in the living room and in the bathroom, were very dirty. As well as the dishes were dirty/ stained.The couch that was on the left of the fireplace was covered in dog hair.

Exceptional

  : The place was clean and the view wonderful.
  : We wanted to be good guest. Costers and a dish pan would help us do that.
