: Beautiful old apartment with lots of character, Very spacious especially after staying in small one room motels, and everything you could want(,stove,microwave, good sized fridge etc.). Close to the Subway ,Central Park and plenty of grocery stores nearby.
: It was a hot time of year we stayed, and the portable AC wasn't great. Being an apartment the stairs were a challenge, and the main bedroom needs a curtain or two to keep the morning sun out..

: Richard and Debora are very accommodating and attentive hosts. The apartment is decorated with interesting artifacts honoring African-American artists and well located for attending work meetings at Columbia University.
: I would suggest adding a wifi repeater in the living room area as the signal is a bit weak there. This would help for when one wants to work on the living room table.

: We enjoyed a lot our stay at Richard's place! The hosts were very nice and helpful, our bedroom and living room were large and comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. The location is good, too: there is a subway station 6-7 minutes walk from the appartment providing direct connection with NYC downtown and it's only 15-20 min walk to north gates of the Central Park. If I am ever back in New York, I'd love to stay at Richard's place again.
: When we were coming back home at night, sometimes we didn't feel 100% comfortable on our way from the subway station to the appartment.

: Location got great infrastructure.Place is very cozy and decorated with love.Hosts are welcoming and worked with our schedule.Fully equipped kitchen.
: Can be noisy at night (street noise audible in bedroom).Bedroom needs blinds on every window to make it darker.

: Richard’s place is the top floor of his lovely, quirky home in Harlem. It is full of personal touches such as the many jazz posters. The bed was really comfortable, though the sofa bed was less so. Richard was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The house is a 10-15 minute walk from 3 subway stations in Harlem, very close to the north edge of Central Park.
: The sofa bed was a little uncomfortable and could have benefitted from a mattress topper.
