  : The location and convenience. Breakfast was good.
  : The room was not clean. There was dust all over the chairs, bathroom and closet. We checked-in late and had to spend more than 30 minutes cleaning the room. My son has a dust allergy and could not sleep. The sofa chair in the room was stinking. This was the first time we had this experience with La Quinta. Every other La Quinta was really nice. The staff was not friendly. The night staff was the only one who was really helpful.

  : Nice place. Good breakfast.
  : Pool was way too cold to stay in - and that was the main reason we stayed - so my grandkids could swim. No one stayed in the pool for more than 60 seconds, including other guests. I was told that the owner/manager was aware of that, but would not do anything about it. Also, our bathfan was very annoyingly loud (comes on with the light), and there was no aireator on the lav faucet in the bathroom, so it sprayed water all over the lav top when turned on, and got our things wet. And a good breakfast, but the worst coffee of our vacation. Get some real coffee!

  : The breakfast was good; they have waffle irons and a mini waffle iron, multiple forms of egg (scrambled, hard-boiled), sausage gravy, biscuits, bagels, muffins, fruit, etc etc. It's worth paying for. The pool wasn't too cold or too warm, not super big but not tiny. The fitness center was reasonable. The room was clean.
  : The coffee machine was somehow confusing and did not work right for me, but that could definitely be sleepy human error. There was some scary confusion initially in which the hotel insisted we had cancelled somehow, but Booking.com assured us we hadn't, but La Quinta had cancelled our room and booked someone else in it anyway. However, La Quinta was able to get us in a different room and, I think, resolved it. Anybody in the pool can see anyone working out, and anyone in the front entrance or standing at the elevator sees anyone swimming. (Not a problem, but wanted to note that in case anyone is insecure working out or wearing a bathing suit in clear view of strangers.)

  : I thought the room rate was quite a bit high and the rates varied by the day. Also thought the pet fee was way too much for a small dog at $125! Too much as far as I am concerned. If I come back to that area again next year, I will find a different hotel even though I do try to choose LaQuinta hotels when possible.

  : If you are using the South Bend airport, this is the perfect location. The breakfast choices were plenty, tasty and everything was wa.
  : There was at least a 1/4” gap around the entire entry door so we heard everyone walking in the halls all night long. The hotel is also very near a Main Street, so the noise of traffic also kept us awake.
