  : To be honest did not like much about the property
  : The staff at reception were very unfriendly. I came with my family and book a reservation online told me they don’t expect cash even though it has the option to pay at the hotel. Then even gave them my credit card information and still had a slight disagreement with it. Then I’m allowed guest till a certain time and treated my guest because he ask a question and told him he would call the police and say he tried to kill him and now one would believe him because he looked homeless. On top of all that unfortunately knocking on my door at ten am when the check out is at 11 am and constantly asking if I was checking out in the morning every time they seen me open my door.

  : I stayed here because the property was inexpensive and the location near the Ashuwillticook Rail-Trail was excellent. There are numerous restaurants and shops as well as a small city park within walking distance. My room was well-furnished and the linens and bedding were spotlessly clean. The carpeting and bathroom sink, tub and toilet were nicely cleaned as well. The flat-screen TV was great with a good selection of channels and the in-room coffee was great too.
  : First impressions upon pulling into the parking lot were not great; the property is in need of some cleaning, repaving and fresh paint. Overall it looks shabby although my room was mostly very good. There were spiderwebs under the sink/bathroom counter which I didn't mind (effective pest control) but some would find objectionable. The bathroom walls were streaked with dirty condensation trails, which was unfortunate because the rest of the room was mostly clean. The Wi-fi was inoperable during my stay. Other reviewers have noted that they felt uneasy staying here, and I believe that may have resulted from some unhoused people in the city park adjacent to the inn. I never felt uncomfortable and I don't think that the hotel is responsible for the problems with vagrants that other reviewers have noted.

  : I enjoyed the room and the somewhat classic feel of the Fairbridge Inn...the outside corridor, etc. Mona was very helpful in giving me the room placement I requested...I'm a musician and needed to practice, albeit softly, on an an acoustic guitar in preparation for a performance at an even in the area. Also, she received a package I'd had sent to the hotel which she handed me upon arrival. Finally, the location was excellent...conveniently across the street from a shopping center.

  : The Fairbridge in Pittsfield is in bad need of a major renovation. Both rooms were smoking rooms, that we did not sign up for. Entering the room the carpets were badly stained. I slept in my shoes. The bedspread had cigarette burn holes all the way through to the mattress. The chairs were also badly stained. No elevator. Steps need repair. The sign on the second floor outside said “No SmoKing.” Why would you have a sign on the outside saying ‘No Smoking.” My friend that we traveled with slept in our car because she is scheduled for lung cancer surgery. The managers were less than pleasant. It was an awful experience. Yet, I blame myself because while it was a great deal and we were coming from the James Taylor concert — arriving at the hotel at midnight — I thought all we need is a clean place with clean sheets and a comfy bed. The sheets were clean. You get what you pay for.
